Eye Health Assessments

Optometrist Kogarah
Omni Eye Centre offers keratoconus solutions such as hard contact lenses, cross collagen linking & corneal transplantation. Correction of corneal distortion that your eyes may have will go a long way to improving visual outcomes.

As optometrists or ophthalmologists, we are often able to detect diseases in the body by way of a simple observation into the eyes.

Systemic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, multiple sclerosis and arthritis are often picked up during a routine ophthalmic examination.

It is therefore imperative for everybody to have their eyes examined at least once every five years or sooner if there is a known family history of systemic disease.

Previously undiagnosed ocular disease accounts for a significant proportion of legal blindness in the world. Sometimes these conditions can go on for many years without the patient being aware.

At Omni both Dr. Allan Ared and Dr. Anthony Maloof will perform a range of comprehensive eye assessments to ensure good healthy eyes and in some cases order investigations for the presence of systemic disease.

With specialty instruments such as Retinal OCT, Humphrey Visual Field Analyser (HFA), Non-invasive ophthalmic photography, specular microscopy, ultrasound biometry, tonometers, corneal topography and dry eye laboratory testing we have the ability to effectively diagnose, treat and manage a wide variety of eye disease cases.

Conditions such as refractive error, cataract, age related macula degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, red eye, dry eye, double vision, blocked tear ducts, keratoconus, myopia, corneal foreign bodies, astigmatism, Fuch's dystrophy and ocular allergy are a mere snapshot of what we treat here at Omni on a daily basis.
